Marike Folkerts - Iwema
Marike was born in The Netherlands. As from birth she has been a fan of water. In the summer, swimming and scuba-diving in the sea. In the winter, skiing in Austria and Switzerland (as from 4 years of age). Besides watersports, ballet has been her passion for over 15 years. She performed in several ballet pieces and was also part of many fashion shows.
She is married and has three kids. Husband and kids are also fan of the "liquid and frozen" water sports...
After a Commercial and computer education, Marike has followed several courses for swim instructor (Dutch KNZB) and several aquatic courses.
Since 1994 she is an aquatic instructor at a large sportscentre in The Netherlands.
Apart from many realms, she is also qualified Hydrocycling Instructor.
She has completed her Master Trainer Certificate with GAIN*GLOW (Global Aquatic Instructor Network * Global Links of Wellness) with an excellent result.
Marike is Multi-Lingual (Dutch, German, English) and can present across many countries of Europe.
